The law of 18 July 2018, into force since last July 30th, has deleted Chapter 6 entitled “Large stores” of the amended law of 2 September 2011 regulating access to the professions of craftsman, merchant, industrialist and some liberal professions.
It is also no longer mandatory to obtain a “large sales area” authorisation in the event of creation, extension, resumption, transfer or change of the commercial branch or branches commercial space with a sales area of more than 400 sqm. The same goes for reuse for retail use of a commercial area with a sales area of more than 400 sqm, released following a transfer request.
The “large sales area” authorisations issued before 30 July 2018 are of course still valid.
