Julien is Counsel in the Media, Data and Technologies practice group. Julien advises domestic and international clients on intellectual property, IT, data protection, media, telecommunications and technology law, with a particular focus on legal matters arising at the intersection of innovation, regulation, digital transformation and business strategy.

With over ten years of experience advising clients in Luxembourg, he regularly assists companies and organisations in navigating complex legal and regulatory issues relating to intellectual property, data, technology and digital activities.

Julien's practice covers the full spectrum of intellectual property rights, including trademarks and domain names, patents, designs, copyright and related rights, trade secrets and know-how, and anti-counterfeiting measures. In the field of IT and new technologies, he advises on IT contracts (software development and licensing, system integration, cloud computing), IT outsourcing (including DORA and CSSF regulatory frameworks), artificial intelligence (development, deployment and compliance with the AI regulations), telecommunications, cybersecurity (NIS 2, DORA, GDPR) and electronic signatures and archiving.

Julien also has extensive experience in data protection, assisting clients with GDPR compliance programmes, privacy information, data breach management and notification, internal policies and procedures, international data transfers and digital marketing.

His commercial law practice encompasses the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts (distribution, franchise, production), general terms and conditions, e-commerce and marketplace regulations, and consumer law matters such as unfair commercial practices and advertising.
